Many people today find themselves torn between basic beliefs and basic expectations. As we all know, most popular social behaviors require little if any critical justification. On the other hand, seemingly obvious truths—like the existence of God, the dignity of persons, and traditional family values—face intense scrutiny against which no justification is possible.
The Center for Morality in Public Life provides resources for engaging these dilemmas confidently, and with sound principles. We believe that human beings are integral wholes. And we believe that right human action always reflects this nature, and cannot be at odds with it.
By reflecting and conversing on timely topics in ethics, politics, and economics, the authors at Ethika Politika seek to identify and dispel the myth that human persons can live a divided life. Our mission is to build up not only a culture of fruitful dialogue, but a civilization of human flourishing. Most importantly, we believe in the possibility of real happiness—and in the ability of each individual to experience it for him or herself.
